Cleaning My Kitchen Floors just got Easier!

I have been cleaning like crazy since we plan on having a huge Christmas Party at my house. I hate cleaning. I hate mopping the floors. I honestly wished I could afford to have one of those nifty services come and do it for me.

I used to be the girl that used that old fashioned ring out your own cotton string mop. You know the kind? You know, where your hands get all “icky” from the gunk you just cleaned off the floor. I honestly thought I was really cleaning my floors pretty good. I just received a brand new SteamBoostâ„¢ Steam Mop and I didn’t waste anytime giving it a whirl! Actually, I just cleaned my floors just before it arrived. I snapped it together in a few seconds, plugged it in and started mopping! This is gonna sound pretty gross, but I picked up more dirt that I could see with my own eyes! That steam really does do the job!

It’s a bit disappointing to this of all the hours and strength I put into those floors before I owned my new SteamBoostâ„¢ Steam Mop and it didn’t get it as clean as I thought.

I especially know how important it is to have super clean floors if you have little ones crawling around too. We love cleaning with vinegar and water for a natural solution so we were very happy to learn that all you need is water in our new Swiffer BISSELL® SteamBoost™ Steam mop! Water and heat really does do the job!

My husband loves to clean the floors and the bathrooms. I hate cleaning the bathrooms. I don’t think I’ve cleaned a bathroom in about 2 years. He believes in good old fashion “elbow grease” to get anything really clean. When I pointed out the bottom of the pad of my new SteamBoostâ„¢ Steam Mop he immediately grabbed it and started cleaning all of our other floors with it! He completely took over! Let’s just saw we are both in awe of how clean our floors really are now. Ah-mazing! Floors are clean and it’s time to par-tay!!!!

Best Cleaning Tips for the Holidays:

1. Do all the deep cleaning the day before so you’re not exhausted the day of the party.
2. Vinegar, soap and water will clean almost anything.
3. Don’t forget to dust. Dust Bunnies are not cute!
4. Focus on one room at a time (it’s less overwhelming)
5. Recruit the kids to help. (I do!)

What’s your best Holiday cleaning tip?? I would love to hear all about it. Leave a comment below.

  1. I am a caretaker for my brother who is 60, 6’1 and about 300 lbs. He has had 3 strokes, not real steady on his feet and eye sight not so great. Problem: when he goes to the bathroom in the middle of the night I wake up to the “little boy syndrome” where there are some puddles in front and on the side of the toilet. What do you suggest is the best product to keep this clean. I am looking for a taller, handicapped approved with oval toilet to see if this helps, but until then I need help to keep floor clean and odors down.
