7 Creative Tips to Organize Your Bathroom
When you think about organizing your bathroom, what areas come to mind? Do you think about the bathtub, sink area or perhaps a linen closet? Most people have an area of the bathroom that they consider to be “most important” and focus the majority of their time on those areas. Like any other part of your home, getting creative with organization in the bathroom can open up new and interesting possibilities. Here are seven creative ideas to try out if you want to find some organization in your bathroom:
Get a vertical organizer
Going vertical is always a primary consideration because that is the space and area that is most often ignored when you organize a space. Your bathroom is no exception. You can put vertical organizers by your medicine cabinet, in your bath and anywhere else that you need more space.
Install a better medicine cabinet
It is shocking how many medicine cabinets are in need of replacing. For whatever reason, people hold onto these like a bad habit. If yours is no longer working for you, switch it out with something that gives you options!
Consider freestanding additions
If you have enough room in the bathroom, consider a freestanding shelf or addition to help store things. You might add a new cabinet, shelving for towels and washcloths or simply a decorative table with lighting.
Downsize your shampoo/soap collection
If you really want to get organized, clear out your shampoo and soap collection. You know you have one. Get in there and eliminate the ones that you never use. Even those that are hiding down in your bathroom cabinet. You will be shocked at the amount of space you suddenly have.
Move your linens and use the closet space
Many times we put linens, towels and washcloths in the bathroom pantry and clearly that is what it was made for. Just because it was created for this, that does not mean you have to use it for that. Instead, put that stuff in another part of the house where you have plenty of extra space. (If you do) Then you can use all that space to better organize your bathroom essentials.
Use small bins under the sink
Most dollar stores sell little bins that hold and organize your smaller bathroom things and they usually stack quite nicely under the sink. If you have storage areas there, use these little bins to get control of the insanity under that area.
Hang a basket
Hanging baskets are an organizational dream. When you put up a hanging basket and place bathroom items in it, it becomes almost decorative. Use these baskets in your bathroom if the decor calls for it and you might be surprised at the room it creates.
Organize  your bathroom with a little creativity and you will be shocked at how much more pleasant your time in there will be. Make it attractive but more importantly, functional!
