Quality Family Activities for Fall

Some examples to include are:
Acorns – Find 3 unique colored acorns while you are nature walking or you can add the option to find just the tops of a specific number of acorns.
Pine Cones – find one that is uniquely shaped.
Y-Shaped Twigs – Y-shaped twigs are unique and if your kids are anything like mine, they will try to find the biggest one they can!
Leaves – With this one, you can choose how many of a specific color must be found.
Rocks – Just like the leaves, you can choose various options. This could include flat, bumpy, oddly shaped rocks, etc.
As with anything in life, get creative and have fun with this scavenger hunt. After all, it’s all about living in the moment and creating new memories with your family.
Go on a hike together.
Get out and explore nature. Nature is an amazing thing we are fortunate enough to be able to explore. Going on a hike doesn’t mean finding the tallest mountain you can climb together as a family either. A hiking trail at the park is the perfect place for you and your family to get out and explore the beauty that is in nature.
As you go through the trail, look at the beauty, listen to the sounds and breathe in the cooler, dry air. Instead of talking about things that have been going on in the families lives, discuss the surroundings as you see them. It’s a great conversation starter.
Spend time taking care of yourselves.
