Pokemon Sun and Moon are here!
Oh man, has Nintendo really upped the hype for the newly released Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon! Back from when this game was newly announced, I couldn’t wait to see what new things were in store in what is now the 7th Generation of Pokemon! After just playing a few minutes of this game, I can tell that these new releases will be bringing in a bunch of new gameplay features and tactics. Actually, this is the very first Pokemon game to rid of the Pokemon Gym system completely! These games take place on the islands of Alola, and on each island there will be special challenges for the players to face. Talk about bringing some variety to these games! Battling gyms over and over got kind of bland after a while. It’s nice to see a new change of things coming from the Pokemon franchise.
One of the things that I find most interesting about these games is that, while previous Pokemon games had you use your time zone to tell whether it was day or night, Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon are set 12 hours apart from each other! This allows for owners of each game to encounter different kinds of Pokemon since there are some types that only spawn during the night!
With introductions such as Alola-Form Pokemon, and special Z-moves, who wouldn’t be hyped up to see how things will play out in this new generation? How much will the meta change competitively? There’s so much in store, but if you’re a new player, no need to worry! This game gives plenty of handicap to those who are unfamiliar with the way Pokemon games are played, and will easily teach you what the pros know now!
It’s almost hard to believe Pokemon has made it as far as it’s 7th generation!
