Microwave Quick Potato Casserole

Ingredients
  

  • 3 large potatoes
  • 1 large yellow onion
  • 4 tablespoons of butter
  • garlic salt to taste
  • cracked black pepper to taste
  • american cheese optional
  • sour cream optional

Instructions
 

  • Peel and chop and rinse potatoes. I prefer them cut round or diced
  • Cut onion round less than 1/4 inch slices.
  • Layer in a 2 Qt casserole dish.
  • Add butter every other layer
  • Add garlic salt and cracked black pepper to taste.
  • Place the lid on the casserole dish and cook in microwave for 20 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.
  • Stir about every 10 minutes to evenly distribute butter.
  • Add american cheese or sour cream after cooking is complete. (optional)
