3 Ingredient Brown Sugar Chicken made in the Crockpot

This is an easy crockpot meal to make when you want something yummy but you don't want to spend a lot of time cooking.

Equipment

  • Crockpot or Slow Cooker
  • Crockpot liner or Slow. Cooker liner

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb chicken thighs you can also use chicken breasts if you prefer
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 packet Zesty Italian seasoning dry mix

Instructions
 

  • Spray the crockpot with non stick cooking spray or place a crockpot liner in the crockpot before you start.
  • Place chicken in the Crockpot.
  • Sprinkle the packet of Zesty Italian dressing dry seasoning over the chicken coating it evenly.
  • Sprinkle the brown sugar over the chicken evenly.
  • Set Crockpot to Low and cook for 6 hours, or until chicken is cooked through. Or on high for 3 to 4 hours if you need it cooked faster.
  • Serve with a salad, mashed potatoes or rice and enjoy!

Notes

We usually make this recipe with chicken thighs that produce a lot of liquid. This is why you won't see any liquids added to this recipe. However, if you decide to use chicken breasts, I would had a 1/2 cup of water or chicken broth as the very first ingredient before adding your chicken to the crockpot.
