Ingredients

  • 1 bushel of fresh green onion
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb spicy breakfast sausage
  • 2 small 10.5 oz cans of French Onion Soup
  • 1 large 22.6 oz can of Cream of Mushroom soup
  • 1 1/4 cup Long Grain Rice

Instructions

  • Dice the green onions before starting. Add all of the ingredients to a large baking dish. The larger the dish the shorter time it will bake. The smaller the dish the longer it will take to bake it fully till it’s done. I used an 8 x 10 baking dish which took almost 2 hours to bake at 350 degrees but I highly suggest using a 9 x 13 baking dish for a shorter baking time.
  • Add all the ingredients to your baking dish. Use clean hands and a glove (if you prefer) to hand mix all these ingredients until they are fully combined and mixed together. No need to spray the dish with a non stick cooking spray either. This recipe has enough fat from the proteins that it will not stick.
  • Once it’s fully combined. Add it to an oven preheated at 350 degrees and bake it until it’s firm in the center. You should be able to wiggle the baking sheet back and forth and if it moves, continue baking it. Each oven is different. I baked mine for almost 2 hours using a 8 x 10 baking pan. It may take an hour and a half or longer to almost 2 hours depending on the type of pan you use.
