5 Tips to Organize Your Summer Accessories
Trying organize your summer accessories can be a major pain in the neck if you like to be fashionable in the sun. Today’s summer accessories list is massive and might include hats, wraps, glasses, jewelry or shoes to name a few. So what is a fashionista to do with all of these summer accessories? What good are they if they are buried under countless other items?
That’s right….you have to get them organized! Here are some tips on how to organize your summer accessories:
Identify Your Staples
One important aspect of organization is to identify the things you use most often. Find your favorite glasses, your most used hat and so on. These items should all be kept in a specific place as your go-to items. Many folks use a small area of their closet or wardrobe. The reason? These items always need to be clean and available. That is why they are your favorites!
Organize by Color
Almost every summer accessory will be worn based on color in some way. For this reason, organizing your summer accessories by color makes really good sense. Line up your items and keep all the matching items together. This will make putting outfits for the beach and sun much easier.
Use a Hat Rack to Hang Hats
Hats are among the toughest summer accessories to get control of and without some type of hanging apparatus you are going to probably have problems. You can hang peg board or hooks, but the best option is a nice, free standing hat rack. Right now, over on Amazon, they are selling a gorgeous free standing hat rack for less the $40. This rack is black with walnut wood and it would be gorgeous anywhere in your home. Best of all, you will see your hats at a glance to make the perfect choice every single time.
Label Boxes With Pics to Identify Items Quickly
Summer accessories are rather small sometimes and that can get confusing. Costume jewelry and other fun summer accessories can be put into boxes and labeled by color. If not color, you can actually shoot a pic of what it is and paste it on the outside of the box for quick identification.
Make a Travel Bag
During the summer months you often will take off on a quick trip or vacation. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a couple of outfits, summer accessories and all, tucked away in a travel bag ready to go? This is a way to thin out some of the accessories while still making good use of them. Nobody likes packing in a hurry so take your time and be ready to go when the mood strikes!
