Super Easy Grilled Chicken Nachos Recipe
I’m all about a super easy meal on some days so today I want to show you a super easy nachos recipe! This is a perfect recipe for those busy nights where the kids have tons of extra activities going on or maybe you just need to create an easy grilled chicken recipe. Heck, we’ve even made this on days were we have unexpected visitors come too. We call them out blended family because everyone eats when they come to our house.
Normally I would do this with leftover meat. Any kind of meat will work. Pork, chicken, steak, fajitas, hamburger etc… but I’m not always lucky enough to have left over meat in my fridge. I was shopping at Walmart and happen to see the new Tyson Grilled and Ready Chicken! I love Tyson so I’m always stopped in my tracks when I see a new product! This one is the same Tyson quality but it’s grilled! I grab a few to keep in stock for my busy days and this recipe! I like to make nachos but I like grilled chicken salads for lunch too!
Savings TIP: Purchase the New Tyson Grilled & Ready products and score a free movie ticket to the new movie Blended! All you have to do is buy two (2) bags of participating Tyson® Grilled & Ready products at Walmart in a single transaction between 4/21/14 and 6/16/14. Snap a photo of your receipt, text it over and get a code for a free movie ticket! How easy is that?!!! Check out all the Tyson Movie Ticket offer details here. Blended started in theaters on May 23rd!
After I purchased these, it didn’t take long to the hubby to find them in the freezer. He got to them before I did. I love how they built in a side strip to seal the bag in case you don’t use them all in one meal. This saves me from having to put it in another freezer baggie!
I grabbed a few ingredients and started to make my favorite super easy nachos recipe!
Here’s the ingredients you need to make this Super Easy Nachos Recipe:
- Tortilla Chips
- Tyson Grilled & Ready Chicken Strips (I used the Chicken Breast Strips)
- Tomatoes – diced
- Onions – diced
- Sour Cream – optional
- Cilantro – optional
How to “step by step” process:
I started off by heating up my Tyson Grilled & Ready Chicken Breast Strips in the microwave according to the instructions on the package. Then set it aside.
After it’s heated the chicken is moist, tender and oh, so juicy! You can taste the grilled flavor too! Now lay your chips out on a microwave safe plate.
I began to prep by dicing my onions and tomatoes. I grabbed some fresh cilantro from my Raised Garden bed in my backyard. You don’t need a whole lot when you grow it yourself because the flavor is 10 times more than the bulk cilantro you buy in the grocery store.
Next, I layered the ingredients. I started of with my first layer of cheese and then added my diced chicken breast and onions. Then I topped another layer of cheese and microwaved it for 1 minute.
After the cheese was completely melted, I added the tomatoes and cilantro. I made sure to add a dollop of sour cream right before I served it. YUM! Warning… It’s so good, you may have to make another plate! Luckily, it only takes a few minutes to whip this up so I’m happy to do it!
