True Detective HBO Series Season 1 New Release

Have you seen the new HBO Series, True Detective yet?  Oh my goodness this is a great show!  I was hooked by the first show.  I can be extremely picky with the shows I watch because I don’t have lots of time but this show blows me away!  It always leaves me wanting more!  Basically it’s a story about the lives of two detectives, Rust Cohle and Martin Hart, become entangled during a 17-year hunt for a serial killer in Louisiana.  Check out more information about this show here.

I’ve always been a big fan of Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson.  These guys are both outstanding actors.  I’ve not seen Matthew McConaughey play such a serious role like this one.  Basically he is a social outsider with a brilliant mind for catching criminals.  First thing I noticed was how thin he was.  I adore the way Woody Harrelson displays his “I don’t take any bull” attitude too.  He plays a cheater in this series too.  Michelle Monaghan plays the part of his wife and does a stand up job too.  Without giving away too much, I love how her character takes a turn in the middle of the series.

If you have yet to see this show, you need to give it a try!  Especially if you like a bit of drama.  Next, you should think about this as a gift idea for Dad!  This show is well received with men and women alike!  The new True Detective HBO Series Season 1 is set to release on June 10th and you can score it at Best Buy!
