Pan Fried Ranch Potatoes

I recently went on a breakfast date with my husband at a restaurant called the Egg & I. I tasted some of the best potatoes I’ve ever tried, ever. I’m usually not even that big of a fan of pan fried potatoes but these were so damn tasty.

After speaking with the staff she told me they used 3 simple ingredients to make these potatoes awesome. I immediately attempted to make them for dinner that night. One of the main ingredients is the Hidden Valley ranch dry dressing mix packet just like this one here. I recently learned they sell the Hidden Valley Ranch 16oz container here too. I always make sure to keep some of this seasoning mix in stock in my kitchen. It’s one of the main ingredients for our hugely popular Cilantro Jalapeno Dip too.

Pan Fried Ranch Potatoes

  • Add the oil to a frying pan and heat.
  • Dice the potatoes. I used small thin cuts and left the peels on.
  • Fry the potatoes until they are golden brown.
  • Once the potatoes are golden brown with a slight crunch, add the seasonings by sprinkling the seasonings and ranch dressing mix over the fully cooked potatoes.
  • Finish frying the potatoes until all the seasoning has been mixture thoroughly on all potatoes. It will create a light seasoned crust.
  • Serve immediately.

If you like onion, you can also dice up some fresh onion to add to the mix.
