Recipes and My New Iconia One 7 Tablet

If you’ve been a long time follower of this site, you know I love all kinds of recipes. I have made a complete switch here recently though. My old iron cookbook stand has been replaced to hold my brand new Iconia One 7 Tablet. Don’t get me wrong. I still love my old cookbooks but I really love to save paper and use my Intel Tablet when I bake in the kitchen. I invite you to join the Intel Advocate experience for yourself.

Here’s how I do it. I often times find myself searching Pinterest for the latest and greatest recipes to try. Often times it’s an easy slow cooker recipe but I’ve been searching lots of new dessert ideas for the holidays too. Once I settle on a recipe I want to make I simply save it to my home screen so I don’t ever lose it. There’s been a time or two where I found a super yummy recipe only to forget the name and then never find it again.

I like to prepare my foods for the week and actually put a plan into my shopping list before I go. Not always though. You might have seen me bust out my cute little tablet in the middle of the grocery store and run around the store like a crazy woman trying to find all the ingredients too. I’m not 100% organized like I want to be all the time. Yes, I carry my Iconia One 7 in my purse and hardly remember it’s there because it’s so compact and light. Love that!

Once I have all the ingredients I turn to my handy tablet once again to pull up that recipe. I no longer have drawers of paper with handwritten recipes on them that you can barely read because you spilled some batter over the ingredients and it has crusted over. Or the big oil stains that have faded the paper. Not anymore. Now all I have to do is worry about battery power but that’s easy because this one lasts a long time.

This weekend I made an amazing Italian Cream Cheese Cake recipe!  Stay tuned for the recipe.  I should have it up with in the week.

I’m curious. Have you switched over to pulling up your favorite recipes on your tablet or are you still stuck using your favorite hard copy cookbook?
