I just found a first responder discount vacation program called Heroes Vacation Club®!! I am the wife of a police officer and I’ve heard of lots of first responder programs but never a vacation program! How exciting is that?!!! When I first learned about this program I was so excited that I accepted an offer to write a sponsored post about it. If it helps our hero first responders save a bit of money I want to be a part of it.

hereos vacation clubI’ve often thought about where I would want to go if money was no object and what always comes to mind is the Cayman Islands or Jamaica.  Oh wait!  Maybe the Bahamas.  Or maybe even Aruba or St Maarten.  It’s hard to decide.  Actually, if money was no object I would want to visit them all.  Why not right?!!  Hey,  I can dream.  These places will be on my bucket list.  I will hit them all when I retire.  I will have as much time as I want to visit anywhere I want.  Sure.  Why not!

I’ve got to tell you that this Heroes Vacation club is eligible to first responders including police officers, firefighters and emergency medical technicians.  The website is super simple to you.  All you do is choose your destination, set your date and see your offers!  Super simple.  The hardest part is deciding where you want to go and getting the time off to do so.  As a law enforcement family we often take off during the non busy times of off season dates just because requesting time off can be tough.  I’ve been an police officers wife for more than 22 years now.  I learned a long time ago to celebrate birthdays and holidays around shift work.  Just because everyone else celebrates Christmas on Christmas doesn’t mean we have to.  We always celebrate it when he has off some day that same week.  It used to bother me but it doesn’t anymore.  I’m just used to it.  We also take over vacations during the school year.  This means the kids miss a couple days of school.  We do try to make it outside of important testing dates though.  If you are a first responder family you know exactly what I am talking about and I’m certain you do something similar.  It’s all about making it work.  On the up side, taking vacations during off season usually means lower prices.  Add that onto the savings you can get from Heroes Vacation club and it’s a good savings!  Now that’s something to be happy about right?!

You know what’s nice about the Heroes Vacation Club website?  You can pick a destinations, pick a date, and then pick a price range to fit your budget.  It’s so simple to navigate.  No bouncing around websites or bidding on packages.  It’s all right there.  There’s even a special menu tab for vacation deals too!  Most of the time finding a deal for travel is doable as a first responder family because we take lots of vacations during off season times anyway.

    1. I just reached out to the company and asked that question for you. This was their response: Thank you for reaching out with this question! Heroes Vacation Club is an American based company that “is free to first responders including Police, EMT and Firefighters.” These are the only groups who may participate.

      Sorry. 🙁
