Tired of takeout? This easy 3 ingredient chicken crockpot recipe for brown sugar chicken will make your weeknights a lot more bearable. With only three ingredients, this dish is perfect for busy families or anyone who doesn’t want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen. And did we mention that it’s absolutely delicious? Your family will love coming home to the tantalizing smell of this home-cooked meal.

Here’s how to make this easy crockpot meal. You will need a few ingredients and a large crockpot. I highly suggest using crockpot liners for easy clean up too.

I normally make this in the crockpot but you can also make this in the oven too. Just make sure to put it in a deep dish because the dark chicken does create a lot of liquids when it’s cooked.

I often double this recipe when I want to create more leftovers and I usually serve it with mashed potatoes or rice and a side salad to make a complete healthy meal for my family. The juices from this recipe when you use dark chicken meat is amazing and plentiful. You can drizzle the juices over your potatoes or rice almost like a gravy. It’s fantastic.

Brown Sugar Chicken Ingredients:

Easy Brown Sugar Chicken Directions:

  2. Place chicken in the Crockpot.

Notes

We usually make this recipe with chicken thighs that produce a lot of liquid. This is why you won’t see any liquids added to this recipe. However, if you decide to use chicken breasts, I would had a 1/2 cup of water or chicken broth as the very first ingredient before adding your chicken to the crockpot.
