Dilly Beans Recipe

You don’t need any canning experience to make these wonderful Dilly Beans recipe.  You just have to know how to boil water.  How easy is that?  It’s almost as easy as our 3 Day Sun Pickles recipe.  Almost.

There is something special about the taste of garlic cloves and fresh dill from the garden.  They can easily become addicting too.  We had so many beans this year because of all the rains here in Texas.  We have definitely been blessed with good weather this year.  Our garden has never looked better.  At one point, I was worried all the rains would wash way all over our plants.

We really like to use the wide mouth quart Mason jars for these beans.  The size is perfect.  We do also use the wide mouth 16 oz Mason jars too.  They are the perfect gift giving size.  I just prefer the bigger jars myself.

If you don’t have fresh dill from your garden, they do sell the fresh dill at your local grocery store too.  It just seems to be so darn expensive.  Doesn’t it?

Do you plan on stockpiling your beans or do you plan on giving a few out to friends and neighbors?  If you do plan on giving them out as cute little gifts, they make some really darling labels you can attach. There are all sorts of Mason jar labels to choose from. I really like the chalkboard ones. They are adorable!
